10/2/07  - "Blip" is currently being featured on the Relix Magazine Blog Page and will be included as part of the November issue's Compilation CD.

10/1/07  - For the second month running, Benny Strange has topped the indie/alternative chart on OurStage.com. The August #1 spot was claimed by "Nowhere Left to Run" and the September #1 song was "Blip".

9/14/07  - Benny Strange has been selected to perform at Street Scene '07 at the Coors Amphitheater in Chula Vista, CA on Saturday September 22nd at 1pm. 8/31/07  - Well the numbers are in for August and the title track from the Nowhere Left to Run EP claimed the # 1 spot on the indie/alternative chart on OurStage.com! "Blip" ended up at # 4. There were 714 entries in the genre. Apparently having two songs in the indie/alternative top ten attracted some attention. Relix Magazine will feature "Blip" as part of their November issue's sampler CD.

5/1/07  - For those of you in Southern California, Benny Strange will be taking a one night break from the studio to play an all ages show at The Knitting Factory on Thursday, May 24th. If you want to hear a sneak peak of some of the new material currently being recorded, this is your chance. Oh, did we mention that it's ALL AGES?!?

4/29/07  - Benny Strange is making a new record. Our favorite sonic sculptor has begun tracking a second EP. The as of yet untitled record is scheduled to be released on Darkroom Records this fall.

4/12/07  - Benny Strange's debut EP, Nowhere Left to Run will be receiving radio play on college stations nationwide this summer. We'll need you (the greatest fans on the planet) to help out with requests and what not. We'll keep you posted on all that fun, summertime radio stuff as the details unfold. 2/23/07  - Benny Strange has been chosen to play the ReverbNation South by Southwest (SXSW) Party on March 16th, 2007 in Austin, Texas. Out of over eight hundred fifty independent recording artists from all over the U.S. and abroad, Benny Strange qualified as one of fifty finalists in the ReverbNation SXSW contest. Finalists were determined by a point system that tracked number of fans, song plays and website hits. A panel of judges, which included staff from independent record labels Yep Roc Records (Paul Weller, Apples in Stereo) and Merge Records (Spoon, Arcade Fire), hand selected Benny Strange as one of two winners to play the highly regarded festival. The live showcase will take place during the official ReverbNation SXSW party on Friday, March 16th at the Dirty Dog Bar in downtown Austin.

7/23/06  - Benny Strange is finally planning the release of his debut EP Nowhere Left to Run. It features 3 songs mixed by Ethan Willoughby (Black Eyed Peas) and 2 songs mixed by Joe Zook (Modest Mouse). The EP was mastered by two time Grammy winner Robert Hadley. "We've worked with some seriously talented people to make this CD happen. It's been an amazing learning experience" said the Benny Strange founder/singer/songwriter David Avram Brown. He's very happy to say that the EP will be available in September right here on the official Benny Strange website.

6/17/06  - After six weeks of tracking, overdubbing, re-tracking & re-overdubbing, Benny Strange is just about ready to mix this EP. With the expertise and diligence of the one and only recording/mix engineer Ethan Willoughby, the EP should be mixed, mastered, packaged and ready for your consumption by September.
